A question about metal (music) Rant?

I'm sure I sound like a broken record, but it just irks me so much when people talk about how good and ';metal'; some bands are... Argh... Why would anyone consider disturbed or emo type bands metal? Hardcore, metal core, it all bothers me... I guess if thats what they put them in, I can't help it, but it's bringing down the metal genre..


Question: why do people like this stuff? Disturbed isn't good, Marlyn Manson is far lower than mediocre, Paramore more is AN EARACHE, Korn has to be one of the worst bands I have ever heard.. I do not understand....

Hell yeah. Metal is where it's at. There is nothing else. And Disturbed sucks monkey balls.
